Nancy Chase

Nancy Chase is an accomplished piano instructor and musician, with over two decades of experience in music education and elementary teaching. She specializes in teaching students of all ages and is dedicated to fostering a lifelong passion for music and its history. ​

Before coming to Hammer & Strings Conservatory, she was the owner of Trills and Glissandos Piano Studio since 2014. Nancy developed a personalized teaching approach that helped her students achieve recognition in local music competitions, and she created exciting additions to her curriculum, such as composer studies, workshops, and innovative programs like her Music Theory Maniacs Club to inspire continuous learning. ​

In addition to her teaching, Nancy is a skilled performer, having showcased her talent in numerous recitals, masterclasses, and ensemble performances, locally and also internationally at the Interharmony Music Festival in Italy. Her repertoire includes works by composers such as Mozart, Schubert, Bach, Chopin, and Saint-Saëns. Her teachers have included Hannah Creviston (Arizona State University), Dr. Henry Rose, and Dr. Karali Hunter. 

Nancy is actively involved in the music community, serving as a member of the East Valley Music Teachers Association, Arizona State Music Teachers Association, and Music Teachers National Association. ​ She has contributed to various professional events, including hosting workshops, masterclasses and concerts, and presenting on topics such as music history pedagogy and studio management. ​

Nancy holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, both from Arizona State University.​

Nancy’s dedication to music education, her innovative teaching methods, and her passion for sharing the love of music make her a sought-after instructor and a respected member of the music community.

Nancy currently resides in Queen Creek with her husband, four kids, and innumerable cats.
