Our Approach

Artistry. Discipline. Mastery.

Most music schools teach technique. We teach the composer’s mind. The Conservatory exists for students who want to go further than their last recital, the 12-year-old playing Liszt’s Mephisto Waltz, the 16-year-old preparing audition tapes for Juilliard, the adult returning to the instrument they abandoned at 14.

Our job is to meet them where they are and take them somewhere few private teachers can.

Student Spotlight

Anthony Tran, age 12, plays Liszt.

Two years ago, Anthony came to us at a beginner’s level. Last month, he performed the Mephisto Waltz, a piece most adult pianists never attempt.

Results like his aren’t common. They’re the product of a program designed for students who want to practice five hours a day, and a faculty that knows how to guide them there.

Our Sister Program

Hammer & Strings Academy.

Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit sister organization brings music education to students across the East Valley, including those who couldn’t otherwise afford it.

The most promising Academy students are invited each year into the Conservatory Fellowship, where scholarship covers all or part of their private instruction here.
