H&S Chamber Music Summer Camp

Camp runs June 22-26, 9am-12pm.
Early intermediate to advanced piano and strings students
Five days of intensive focus on the genre of chamber music and building connections with other young musicians. Registered students are assigned to a chamber group (duo, trio, or quartet) that they work with for the duration of the camp. Students will receive daily coaching from top-notch community musicians, masterclasses by guest artists, focused time to rehearse, and discussions on how to make beautiful music in a small ensemble setting.
AUDITION PROCESS
To be accepted into the camp, students must pay an initial $15 Application Fee (non-refundable) and submit an audition video which will be reviewed by a committee. Audition videos will also be used for placement into groups based on ability level and age. After you have submitted your information in the form below, we will email you information on how you can submit an audition video. Application deadline is May 24th.
If you are accepted into the camp, you will be billed for the camp tuition. Included in camp tuition is a $50 Registration Fee (non-refundable).

Requirements for Audition Video
Please submit a video(s) of the student performing the following items:
1. A short piece or excerpt of a piece of your choice.
2. A scale (demonstrate as many octaves that you are comfortable playing).
Video auditions and Registration Form are due by the end of the day on May 20th.
Tips for Recording Your Audition Video
Set up your camera (can be your phone or any other device that can record both audio and video) so that your instrument, hands, and general posture can be seen and you can be heard clearly when playing your audition excerpts.
Ways to Submit Your Video
1. Email the video file to luke@hammerandstrings.com.
2. Upload to YouTube as "Unlisted" and send the link to luke@hammerandstrings.com.
3. Upload the video file to your Google drive and share the file with Mr. Luke.
Watch out for a confirmation email that your video has been received. Make sure you do not delete your video from YouTube until AFTER you have been notified of your audition results.
