Play piano in an engaging group environment. Every four weeks students learn a new song to play together while practicing listening to each other, identifying and bringing out the melody, playing dynamics as a group, and more. The class works for beginning students and for students who already have some experience in piano and want a social outlet for music.
Multi-level means exactly what it sounds like. Students from very beginner to late-intermediate take part in the same class. Everyone learns the same piece, with music of different complexities assigned based on individual playing level. Students also perform as an ensemble in a mini recital for parents at the end of the course.
Graduates of this course are invited to sign up for private piano lessons or to continue in the class.
Students must have access to a keyboard, digital piano, or acoustic piano for practice between each class.
Different day and time options may be arranged based on demand. The Spring semester registration deadline is January 8. After that date, classes with no registrations are cancelled, but you can still enroll late in any open class with prorated tuition. To register after the deadline, email the office at admin@hammerandstrings.com to see whether a seat is open.
If you do not see your age group listed, let us know. When there is interest we are happy to open additional classes for older and younger students. Adult students are welcome in Beginning Group Piano for Adults.
