Learn piano in an engaging group environment. Through 16 weeks of group activities, games, and independent time at the instrument, students learn the principles of piano playing including proper posture, basic note reading, and fundamental technique.
This class is for students who have never played the piano before and want to know what it is all about. It is a great introduction course to help kids find out whether piano is their instrument. The class runs more like a traditional piano lesson with the benefits of group learning, and students perform in a mini recital for parents at the end of the course.
Graduates of this course are invited to sign up for private piano lessons or to move into the Multi-Level Piano Ensemble.
Students must have access to a keyboard, digital piano, or acoustic piano for practice between each class.
Day and time may be arranged based on demand. If you do not see your age group listed, let us know. When there is interest we are happy to open additional classes for older beginner students. Adult students are welcome in Beginning Group Piano for Adults.
